Coming this Saturday, 23rd December 2023 from 10am-11am a brand new relaxed opening of Charnwood Museum!

Chilled Charnwood is a sensory friendly opening for children who need a quieter environment to enjoy our museum with their families.

You can experience our museum gallery in your own way. This month we will have some craft activities for you to do.

The event is free to attend with your families and friends are welcome too! The museum will be closed to the general public during this time.

We will also have sensory backpacks for you to use on a first come first served basis, a quiet zone with a blackout tent to chill out if needed and a social story.
