Charnwood Museum is situated in the beautiful Victorian surroundings of Queen's Park in Loughborough, just a short walk from the market place where a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants can be found.
The Museum is a 20 minute walk from Loughborough Town Station which is served by East Midlands Trains. There are also bus stops 5 minutes away from the Museum on Frederick Street and Browns Lane.
There is no car parking available at the Museum, we do have one blue badge space available on a first come, first served basis please call us on 01509 233754 for more information. Car parks near Charnwood Museum are situated on: Granby Street, Beehive Lane, Browns Lane.
Entry to the Museum is free; we welcome all visitors including assistance dogs.
The Museum is situated in Queen's Hall, the former Victorian swimming baths. There are steps and a ramp leading to the main entrance door from Queen's Park. Once inside the museum there is level access to all the exhibits, accessible toilets, museum shop, chill out zone and Queen's Park Café who have a varied menu available to eat in or takeaway.
There are chairs placed around the museum for you to use. Please ask a member of staff for assistance if needed.
We have accessible, unisex toilets available for Museum visitors and café customers with baby changing facilities.
